Carol Cooley is an essayist, short story author, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) Fellow, and writing workshop leader. Her work has appeared in numerous anthologies and magazines. She is currently working on her debut novel.

Carol was awarded a writing residency at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. An artist community located in Amherst, Virginia, the VCCA has attracted renowned artists working at the top of their powers, along with talented younger artists at the beginning of their professional careers.
