Carol
Cooley is an Amherst Writers and Artist Affiliate and workshop leader.
Her writing workshops follow the AWA method. These workshops are designed
to help you define your writing voice, build your confidence as a writer,
and allow you to grow in a strong, safe class environment. They are perfect
for beginners or the experienced writer who wants to generate new writing
material in a positive group dynamic.
The following workshops are ongoing in the Raleigh-Durham and Wake Forest, North Carolina area:
Prompt Writing Workshops: In this four-week series, writers will gather in a supportive circle to build their skills and confidence through prompt writing. We will follow the Amherst Writers and Artists method, a non-hierarchical and safe approach to writing with others.
Creative Writing in Healthcare: Workshops for healthcare and hospice professionals will assist the writer who aspires to be published or one who wants to use writing as a creative outlet from the demands of care giving. Writing among peers, this group work can be energizing and deepen your awareness of your work.
Group size will be limited.
